The goal in my work is to enhance human performance and comfort by improving ergonomical concepts, based on scientific research. In addition, another important goal is to optimize scientific methods.

My main research fields are thermal physiology, comfort and ergonomics of (protective) clothing and equipment.

An important mission in my work is to increase knowledge by sharing, exchanging and cooperating with different laboratories.
